Obsession Horror Movie Gets Unexpected Video Game Crossover Just in Time for Halloween

Epic Games’ Fortnite has teased a haunting crossover with Curry Barker‘s Obsession this Halloween. But the Battle Royale hasn’t revealed what’s in store for horror fans yet.

Fortnite’s official account shared an eight-second video on X that teased the world of One Wish Willow with a tape, an unidentified spooky female figure, and a haunting pumpkin.

The clip offers little for fans to decode. However, the trailer’s timing is perfect, coming after One Wish Willow appeared at the end of a recent Fortnitemares trailer. The upcoming crossover arrives on October 21, 2026.

What the Obsession teaser reveals about Fortnite’s upcoming crossover

Fortnite hasn’t confirmed the mysterious female character seen in the Obsession crossover teaser. However, she is expected to be none other than Nikki. Inde Navarrette played the creepy, breakout role in the horror movie.

Obsession is one of the popular horror universes joining the Battle Royale this Halloween. Other franchises include A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Slender Man, The Purge, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. They will feature iconic characters such as Freddy Krueger, Beetlejuice, the faceless Slender Man, and Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, and Chica.

Eager Obsession fans can expect more details from Epic Games before the crossover pack arrives in the game’s Item Shop.

Obsession is 2026’s highest-grossing horror movie so far. Featuring Navarrette and Michael Johnston in leading roles, the plot centers on the One Wish Willow. It grants wishes when one breaks the willow branch in the middle. Bear asks for his coworker and longtime friend, Nikki, to love him more than anyone else in the world. But things soon start taking an unexpected turn because of Nikki’s unnatural behavior.

Focus Features’ movie made over $520 million worldwide on a $1 million micro budget. Its ensemble cast also featured Megan Lawless, Cooper Tomlinson, Andy Richter, and Barker himself.

Fortnite’s Obsession crossover pack for Halloween will release on October 21, 2026.
