Paramount+ and CBS Studios came to the Javits Center in Manhattan with a collection of Star Trek stars, including Holly Hunter and the man himself, William Shatner. The panel was split into two parts, starting with a discussion about Starfleet Academy and the upcoming season, and then moving into a celebration of the 60th anniversary, featuring a conversation with William Shatner, the original Captain James T. Kirk, with actor and filmmaker (and Star Trek superfan) Ben Stiller.
For Starfleet Academy, panelists included stars Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, and Robert Picardo along with co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau. This was followed by the conversation with William Shatner and Ben Stiller. They talked about iconic Star Trek moments, wrapping up with Stiller surprising Shatner by revealing the original Gorn head from his personal Star Trek memorabilia collection.
