Marvel’s Midnight Universe has officially arrived, and the House of Ideas is pulling back the curtain on its terrifying new world at New York Comic Con 2026. During the Marvel Comics: The Midnight Hour panel, fans got a closer look at the dark new versions of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, with fresh artwork, character designs, and story details for Midnight X-Men, Midnight Fantastic Four, and Midnight Spider-Man.
Among the biggest reveals were R.B. Silva’s new designs for the Midnight X-Men, including a bat-like Beast, a grotesque crystalline Iceman, and a Magik who bears a striking resemblance to Anya Taylor-Joy. Fans also got their first look at the Midnight Universe’s Doctor Octopus, who makes his debut in Midnight Spider-Man #2 this November.
Marvel also revealed new details about January’s fourth issues, teasing a mysterious cosmic artifact affecting the Fantastic Four, a growing conspiracy in Midnight X-Men, and the birth of a second synthetic mutant in Midnight Spider-Man.
With the first issues hitting comic shops earlier this week, the panel offered an early glimpse at just how strange and unsettling the Midnight Universe is about to become.
