Noise has moved into the gaming category with Clutch, a new audio line aimed at India’s competitive gaming audience, with the first product opening for pre-booking today ahead of a full launch on August 27.

The connected lifestyle and wearables company is positioning Clutch as a range built for the way gaming is played in the country — across mobile, PC and console, often in extended sessions, and usually with squad communication running alongside. The debut model, the Clutch HP-P01, can be pre-booked exclusively on gonoise.com at an introductory price of Rs 4,999.

The company’s argument for entering the category rests on a gap it identifies in ownership. By its count, India has more than 568 million gamers, but fewer than 15 per cent use dedicated gaming audio. As play spreads across mobile, PC, console and handheld formats, Noise contends that expectations of hardware have shifted, with players seeking gear that matches the pace and precision of how they compete.

Commenting on the launch, Amit Khatri, Co-Founder, Noise, said: “Indian gaming culture has matured faster than the gear built for it. Our gamers are competitive, they play for hours with their squads, and they know their specs. Yet the experience remains hindered by a lack of accessible, high-performance audio. Clutch closes that gap. It’s purpose-built, professional-grade technology and precision-tuned audio that meets the sophisticated needs of today’s gamers, as we believe performance should never be a trade-off between skill and spend.”

On specifications, the HP-P01 uses a 50mm driver that the company says has been tuned for directional accuracy, including the footstep cues that matter in shooters and battle royale titles. Wireless latency is claimed at under 30ms, which is the range at which audio delay stops being perceptible against on-screen movement for most players.

The construction uses a full-metal frame with breathable, fabric-wrapped cushions. Noise says the headphone has been put through drop, tumble and vibration testing without cracking, loosening or functional failure, and that the headband, slider and clamp mechanisms have been cycled thousands of times to check that fit holds up over a long ownership period. A detachable boom microphone and 7.1 virtual surround sound round out the feature set, both aimed at squad-based play.

Battery life is rated at up to 40 hours, and there are four connection modes, including 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 3.5mm wired option. The intent, according to the company, is that a single pair can move between a phone on a commute and a console at home without needing to be charged mid-session. The headphone weighs 300±5g and carries multi-mode RGB lighting — a feature that has become close to standard in the category, and one that matters more for streaming setups than for performance.

Noise has said Clutch will expand through 2026, with further products intended to give buyers an upgrade path within the range rather than pushing them towards other brands as their setups get more serious.

The Clutch HP-P01 will be sold in three colourways: Black/Red, Purple/Gold and Grey/Green. Deliveries are expected to begin around the full India launch on August 27. At Rs 4,999, it sits in a segment where the company will be competing against established gaming-audio names as well as budget entrants that have been chasing the same first-time buyer.
