Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will come with support for motion controls when it lands on Switch 2, Nintendo has confirmed. This is something that we just heard about this week, but seemed to largely fly under the radar.
This marks the first time in franchise history that the feature will be supported. Of course, they’re entirely optional – you can play the full game without it.
Nintendo says the following about the motion controls feature in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave: “Intuitively move units across the battlefield, quickly access helpful information, and more, changing seamlessly between button and mouse controls whenever you like.”
Those interested in learning a bit more about the game can check out the following overview:
The end of the world is only the beginning. Lead four heroes to victory across countless tactical battles and change the past to save the future in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
The year is 1454, and the Dagdan Empire lies on the brink of ruin following the return of Balor, a resurrected demon god. In an effort to avert disaster, a soul descends from the heavens at the behest of the goddess Sothis.
Which path will you walk to save the world?
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is slated for September 17, 2026. A truckload of details can be found here.
