    Nine Entertainment Co Holdings Limited (ASX:NEC) is an Australian media company operating across television, streaming, publishing and out-of-home advertising. During 2026, the company continued reshaping its portfolio through asset sales, acquisitions and changes across its operating segments.

    Nine released its FY2026 results on 26 August 2026. Continuing operations revenue increased 3% to about A$2.2 billion, while EBITDA increased 17% to A$379 million. The EBITDA Margin increased to 17.3%.

    Net profit after tax before Amortisation was A$147 million, while the board declared dividends of 7.5 cents per share.

    Nine’s operations include the Nine Network, 9Now broadcast video-on-demand platform, Stan subscription streaming service and publishing Assets including major mastheads. Following the QMS Media transaction, the company also operates an out-of-home Advertising business.

    The company has reduced exposure to some previous assets while increasing its focus on streaming, digital publishing and advertising platforms.

    During FY2026, Nine completed the acquisition of QMS Media after generating proceeds from the divestment of Domain. The company also continued developing its streaming and digital businesses.

    Stan revenue increased 16% to A$569 million, with EBITDA increasing 34% to A$81 million. Publishing revenue remained at A$518 million, while digital subscription revenue increased to A$216 million.

    Financial Position and Outlook

    Nine reported net Debt of A$658 million at FY2026, equivalent to 1.7 times leverage. Management provided guidance for further pro forma revenue and EBITDA growth in FY2027.

    The company expects growth assets to represent a larger proportion of revenue and EBITDA as the portfolio changes continue.

    Nine operates across cyclical advertising markets and competitive media segments. Integration of QMS Media, content costs, subscriber growth and changes in advertising conditions may influence future performance.

    Nine Entertainment’s FY2026 results reflect a transition from a traditional broadcast-focused business towards a broader media platform combining streaming, digital publishing and out-of-home advertising. Future updates will provide further information on integration progress and segment performance.
