    Key Highlights

    • Nine released its FY26 final results on 26 August 2026.
    • Group Revenue increased during FY26, while statutory net profit also improved.
    • Nine has been increasing its exposure to streaming, outdoor media and digital publishing.
    • The shares remain materially lower over one year despite the latest full-year operating update.

Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Ltd (ASX:NEC) closed at AUD 0.963 in the latest market snapshot, down 7.90% for the session. Over one year, the stock has changed -47.69%. Nine released its FY26 final results on 26 August 2026, reporting revenue and profit growth across the year. The group has also been reshaping its portfolio, including the Acquisition of QMS and the sale of regional television assets.

With a Market Capitalisation of about AUD 1.53 billion, the near-term story is now centred on how management converts recent operational, financial or corporate milestones into sustained progress rather than on one Trading session alone.

FY26 Results Put Portfolio Changes in Focus

Nine’s latest full-year release arrived after a year of material portfolio activity. The company has been shifting capital towards businesses it expects to carry a larger share of future earnings, while continuing to manage traditional television and publishing operations.

The next substantive company release will be important in showing whether this development is translating into a broader improvement in the operating or project outlook.

Streaming and Outdoor Media Add New Growth Channels

Stan remains an important subscription-based Business within the group, while the QMS acquisition expands Nine’s position in digital outdoor advertising. Together with digital publishing, these Assets broaden the revenue mix beyond traditional broadcast advertising.

The next substantive company release will be important in showing whether this development is translating into a broader improvement in the operating or project outlook.

NRL Rights Extend a Core Sports Franchise

In July, Nine secured NRL and NRLW broadcast rights through to 2034. Long-dated sports rights remain strategically important because they support television audiences, streaming engagement and Advertising inventory across the broader media platform.

The next substantive company release will be important in showing whether this development is translating into a broader improvement in the operating or project outlook.

What Could Come Next for Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings?

For Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Ltd (ASX:NEC), attention now turns to execution. The share-price move provides context, but future direction will depend on delivery against the company’s stated priorities, the quality of upcoming results or project milestones, and the way capital is deployed through the next phase.
