Peacock’s “Love Island USA” season eight climbed to 1.997 billion minutes across U.S. household TV screens for the week ended July 12 — marking a new weekly high record for the reality dating series.
It was the show’s fourth weekly No. 1 of the summer with the season finale streaming July 12. Peacock had another top 10 with drama miniseries, “The Five-Star Weekend” at No. 5 on the originals chart with 629 million minutes; three-quarters of watch time came from women 18 and older.
HBO Max’s “House of the Dragon” notched 969 million minutes to rank No. 2 overall and No. 1 among acquired series. Nielsen contends that the audience profiles for the HBO airings and streaming on HBO Max are different: 60% of the audience on Max are adults 18-49, compared with 32% for the linear broadcasts.
Netflix’s adaptation of the “Little House on the Prairie” book series kicked off its first season on July 9, generating 926 million minutes and finishing No. 2 among originals.
Apple TV’s sci-fi drama “Silo” accumulated 385 million minutes and returned to the originals chart at No. 10. The series’ third and newest season launched on July 3 with its second episode released on July 10. It marked the series’ fourth overall top 10 appearance and first since the second season wrapped in early 2025.
The fourth season of AMC’s “Dark Winds” landed on Netflix on July 4 and ranked No. 6 among acquired shows with 681 million minutes– underscoring the series’ third top 10 appearance.
Disney+ expanded its “Bluey” success by introducing “Bluey Compilations” on July 9. The new series, which consists of 45-minute groupings of similarly-themed episodes, debuted at No. 9 on the acquired chart with 641 million minutes. Meanwhile, the original “Bluey” series (from Australia) secured the No. 3 acquired spot with 872 million minutes.
On the movie chart, Project Hail Mary on Prime Video maintained the top spot for the second consecutive week with 922 million minutes — up from 860 million minutes the prior week. The film landed on Prime Video on July 3 after a successful spring box office run.
