    The NFL‘s long-anticipated Melbourne takeover kicks off this September with a three day weekend. Not only will fans be able to watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams at the MCG, but there’s a huge stack of local and international performers set to take to the stage across the weekend.

    Dubbed ‘Kickoff Festival’, the event’s entertainment lineup will span from Thursday September 10 to Saturday September 12, with acts like Peking Duk, Kita Alexander, Sneaky Sound System and more. But, true to NFL fashion, the half-time show has brought in the big guns, with the Jonas Brothers set to take the stage in front of the packed crowd and plenty more watching on

    Kickoff Festival: Half-Time Show and Lineup Revealed

    For the first time since their World Tour back in 2024, The Jonas Brothers are back in Australia to headline the Halftime show at the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams on Friday, Sept. 11 at 10:35 a.m. AEST

    “We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia… playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honour. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.” Said the Jonas Brothers.

    Fans around the world can watch the Melbourne game, including the full Jonas Brothers halftime performance, live on Netflix, and on Seven Network in Australia. 49ers-Rams will be available on local broadcast stations in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

    Who’s Performing in the Melbourne Kickoff Festival?

    Alongside the Jonas Brothers, The Kickoff Festival is delivering to be the ultimate festival destination during game week. With Australian talent taking over the stage with the likes of Peking Duk, Grinspoon and Sneaky Sound System, alongside other artists such as Kita Alexander, Public Figures, Hot Dub Time Machine and more to be announced.

    What Else is Happening at NFL Melbourne 2026 Kickoff Festival?

    Beyond the live music, NFL Melbourne Kickoff Festival promises to deliver a packed schedule of football, food and fan experiences. 

    On Thursday, the Kickoff Festival will host the official watch party for the 2026 NFL season opener. The The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will host the New England Patriots at Lumen Field on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10.20 a.m AEST in a Super Bowl LX rematch and The Kickoff Festival will also host the official NFL Melbourne Game watch party for fans who are not attending the game.

    There will also be a Flag Football takeover presented by Wilson, an NFL Academy Combine Zone, appearances from NFL legends, including a live Q&A with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

    Not to mention, fans will also have the opportunity to explore retail pop-ups, get photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 60 Super Bowl rings, and enjoy an American-style food village.

    Where and When is the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game

    The game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will take place at the MCG on Friday, Sept. 11 at 10:35a.m AEST (Thursday, Sept. 10 at 8:35 p.m. ET in the United States)

    Available to watch live on Netflix and on Seven Network in Australia. 49ers-Rams will be available on local broadcast stations in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Additionally, the Kickoff Festival will be hosting a watch party for the 2026 NFL season opener.
