Netflix has announced the release date and unveiled the first look of the highly anticipatedLove is Blind: Netherlands, the Dutch edition of the international dating series where singles search for love without ever seeing each other. Hosted by Nicolette van Dam and Bas Smit, the series premieres exclusively on Netflix September 30 — and the first sparks are already flying.Love is Blindfirst premiered in the United States in 2020 and quickly became a global phenomenon, with local editions now available in Brazil, Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Mexico,Love is Blind: Habibi, and Argentina.AboutLove is Blind: NetherlandsInLove is Blind: Netherlands, 30 single men and women enter the pods in the hope of finding a genuine, lasting connection, without ever seeing the person they’re talking to. They date in individual pods, separated by a thin wall, and have the chance to build an emotional connection before meeting face-to-face. If they feel they’ve found the right person, they can even get engaged before seeing each other for the first time. From there, the couples meet in person and find out whether their connection can survive outside the pods. They travel together, move in together, plan their weddings, and navigate the challenges of building a relationship in the real world.
And then comes the ultimate test: the altar. Will they say ‘I do’ and prove that love really is blind, or will they decide to go their separate ways?
