Netflix showed off a massive slate of upcoming projects at Anime NYC, including exclusive trailers and images for series like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, The One Piece, Blue Eye Samurai, and more.
Anime NYC is underway, and to celebrate, Netflix is showing off what it’s got in store in its arsenal of animated shows. From established anime series to new projects, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to in the coming months.
Bass X Machina – Official Teaser Trailer Debut, New Images
Bass X Machina is a gritty Western adult animated series set in a Steampunk universe. It follows Bass Reeves, voiced by Brian Tyree Henry, as he restores law to the Wild West, braving deadly automatons and outlaws along the way.
Netflix showed off a new trailer for the show and provided some images, along with a release date for November 3, 2026.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Trailer Revealed, Season 3 Confirmed
Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 releases in January 2027. In the trailer shown off by Netflix, Mizu braves stormy seas and dangerous company in her treacherous journey to London.
Netflix also confirmed that Blue Eye Samurai has been greenlit for a third and final season, tying up Mizu’s quest for revenge
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 New Trailer and Images Revealed
Good morning, Night City! Netflix showed off an English-language trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, giving us a closer look at the tragedy and bloodshed that’s in store for our four main characters.

Fool Night Gets November 26 Release Date and Special Featurette
New images, a trailer, and a special featurette were released for Fool Night, an upcoming anime adaptation of the manga by Kasumi Yasuda. In the world of Fool Night, humanity faces a critical oxygen shortage, necessitating a horrifying new means of survival: dying humans willingly transform their bodies into plants that provide oxygen for their families in exchange for money from the government.
The featurette included testimonials from the production crew, who delved into their creative process creating the show’s dark world.
“Across the visuals, music, and direction, we feel that we achieved a high level of artistry. I hope people will look forward to it,” they said.
Fool Night debuts on Netflix on November 26, 2026.
LEGO ONE PIECE – Official Trailer, New Images
The search for the One Piece is afoot! One Piece is getting the LEGO treatment with a special two-part animated special coming to Netflix on September 29 that ties into the beloved anime’s live-action adaptation.
The trailer seems to point to this being Usopp’s retelling of his adventures with Luffy, with his live-action counterpart, along with a CGI Chopper, reading about the events of the special from a storybook.
Sakatamoto Days Gets Action-Packed Trailer Showing Off Three New Characters
Sakamoto Days Season 2 got a trailer showing off three new characters: Amane, Etsuko Satoda, and Yotsumura. All three got some time to shine in stunningly-animated fight scenes, giving Sakamoto and company a run for their money.
Sakamoto Days Season 2 releases in January 2027.
WiT’s The One Piece Reboot Gets New Key Art
While not much was said about WiT Studio’s upcoming One Piece reboot, we did get a look at some key art for the highly-anticipated show, which is set to air sometime in February 2027.
The One Piece is an updated retelling of the original story. Its first season will consist of seven episodes that adapts the first 50 chapters of the manga, up to Luffy’s encounter with Sanji.
It’s meant to provide a more streamlined introduction to the series for beginners, as the original One Piece anime is known for being one of the longest anime series of all time with a gobsmacking 1,174 episodes at the time of writing.
That’s all Netflix had to share in regards to its upcoming animated projects. In another exciting anime reveal, Kingdom Hearts is getting an animated series on Disney+ with close involvement from Tetsuya Nomura.
