    • The show has been a global success on Netflix, with Season 1 reaching No. 1 in 28 countries and Season 2 in 17 countries.

Netflixhas a surprise for fans of a popular TV show. The streaming giant has renewed the hit drama for Season 4, even before Season 3 premieres. The announcement also puts to rest speculation that the next season would conclude the story.

Which Popular TV Show Did Netflix Just Renew for Season 4?

Netflix has officially renewed Tyler Perry’s hit drama Beauty in Black for Season 4. The surprise renewal comes just months after Season 3 was announced, which many fans believed would be the show’s final chapter.

Tyler Perry expressed his excitement about continuing the series. Speaking to Netflix’s Tudum, he said, “Beauty in Black is back for Season 4, and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished. There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!”

The show has had an incredible run on Netflix. It spent seven weeks in the streamer’s Global Top 10. Season 1 reached No. 1 in 28 countries, while Season 2 topped the charts in 17 countries.

While it can sometimes take years for streaming shows to return with new episodes, Beauty in Black moved relatively quickly. The series premiered in October 2024, and its second season was split into two parts. The second half premiered in March 2026, increasing the series’ total to 32 episodes.

Netflix hasn’t confirmed the release date for Season 3 yet. Still, the early renewal suggests Netflix remains confident in the series’ future.

The official logline for Season 3 says, “Kimmie finally has a seat at the Bellarie table, but when a deadly family feud erupts, she’s forced into an uneasy alliance with Mallory. Together, they navigate a ruthless world of blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets as the family wages war against one of its own, threatening to bring the entire empire crashing down.”

The new season features Taylor Polidore Williams, Amber Reign Smith, Crystle Stewart, Xavier Smalls, Julian Horton, Ricco Ross, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield, and Debbi Morgan.
