Despite strong reviews, Netflix opted to cancel the show after just one season, landing it on ScreenRant’s list of the “most surprising” TV cancellations and earning the streaming giant a harsh message
“While many factors might have contributed to its cancellation, The Boroughs seems like the perfect example of how Netflix’s increasingly unforgiving approach to green lighting projects based on complex parameters is arguably harming streaming,” ScreenRant wrote

While it’s cancelling a number of shows, Netflix also renewed Funny AF With Kevin Hart, The Four Seasons, House of Guinnessfor new seasons and will conclude Devil May Cry and A Good Girls Guide to Murder with their third and final seasons
