It’s November, which means that platforms everywhere, including Netflix, are gearing up for the holiday season with all kinds of festive content. That includes the new Christmas romance Guarding Stars, starring Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki, the annual holiday-themed episodes of The Great British Baking Show and much more. If you’re firmly the type who only wants to start thinking about Christmas after Thanksgiving, there are dozens of other titles to look out for on Netflix this month, too.
We can’t wait for the new season of Black Doves, the spy thriller starring Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw as assassins, or the new limited series The Altruists. It stars Anthony Boyle and Julia Garner as Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, who were both sent to prison for their roles in a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme. The platform will also drop several original films this month, including The Mosquito Bowl, Heartland and Avedon.
As always, there’s a lot of new content arriving on Netflix to keep us occupied this month. Here are some of the highlights on Netflix in November.
What’s on Netflix in November 2026
Nov. 5
Black Doves (Season 2)
If you’re a fan of spy/crime shows with a dash of dark wit — think Slow Horses, Killing Eve, Dept. Q — you’ll be thrilled to learn that the great Keira Knightley series Black Doves is back this month. In the show, which first debuted in 2024, Knightley stars as Helen, the wife of a politician who is hiding the fact that she’s a member of the Black Doves, a covert organization that steals secrets from the government and uses them for their own nefarious purposes. Helen, along with her best friend and fellow Dove, Sam (Ben Whishaw, in a real departure from his turn as Paddington), are trained killers now trying to uncover the truth behind who they work for. The new season adds Ambika Mod and Neve Campbell to the cast, and all episodes arrive on Nov. 5.

North of North (Season 2)
The sweet dramedy North of North was a huge hit when it premiered in 2025, and now the show is back for Season 2. Set in Ice Cove, a fictional Arctic town in Canada (the show is actually the platform’s first original series from Canada, if you can believe it), the series focuses on a young, newly divorcedInuk mother named Siaja (Anna Lambe) who is raising her daughter, Bun (Keira Belle Cooper), with help from her mother, Neevee (Maika Harper). She is also grappling with the news that she has a half-sister she never knew existed. Season 2 consists of eight 30-minute episodes that arrive on Nov. 5.
Nov. 11

The Body (Season 1)
I would be intrigued by the premise of the new Netflix show The Body no matter what. The series hinges on a drug-fueled ritual performed by a group of Catholic school girls that causes them to have disturbing, prophetic visions. Netflix compares the show’s tone to classic high school movies such as Carrie and Jennifer’s Body. But you add in the fact that reality TV star Gabby Windey is in the cast? I’m sold. Windey was the breakout star of her seasons of The Bachelor and The Traitors, and she’s always good for some dark humor. The Body co-stars Kristina Bogic, Sara Boustany, Sofia Wylie, Geena Meszaros and Shirley Chen, and it premieres Nov. 11.

Avedon
The new documentary Avedon premiered at Cannes earlier this year and earned rave reviews from critics. Directed by Ron Howard, the movie explores the life and work of Richard Avedon, one of the 20th century’s most influential photographers. He captured celebrities, models and politicians, as well as key moments in pop culture and politics, all through his singular artistic eye. The film arrives on Netflix on Nov. 11.
Nov. 13

Heartland
Heartland might at first seem like an ode to Nashville’s country music scene, but it’s deeper than that. The new film stars Jessica Chastain as Misty Jones, a fading star who has chosen a life of quiet solitude but returns to the spotlight when her niece, Charlie, a rising talent in the music scene, goes missing. A mystery set in the middle of Music City, the film has a solid country music pedigree; the role of Charlie is played by real-life country singer Carter Faith, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles also co-stars and the film was directed by Shana Feste, who directed the 2013 hit Country Strong.

Focus Features/Blumhouse
Obsession
One of the biggest hits of 2026, Obsession, is making its way to Netflix on Nov. 17. The film’s breakout star, Inde Navarette, stars as Nikki, a woman who becomes violently obsessed with her friend Bear (Michael Johnston) after he makes a wish on a One Wish Willow for her to fall in love with him. Once Bear realizes Nikki’s obsession with him can’t be undone, things get pretty gruesome. And no additional wishes can make it stop. The movie isn’t the only great horror film to arrive on the platform in November; you’ll also be able to catch Insidious and Smile on Nov. 16.
Nov. 18

Guarding Stars
Based on the novel The Bodyguardby Katherine Center, Guarding Stars is a holiday romance about a bodyguard assigned to protect an action star over the holidays. As you might assume from other bodyguard-related romances (you know, like The Bodyguard), the protector and protectee can’t help but fall for each other. The film stars Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki, and co-stars Andie MacDowell, Walker Hayes and Noah LaLonde. Want more original holiday fun? Tyler Perry’s The Gospel of Christmas stars Fantasia Barrino Taylor in another Netflix original film arriving on the platform this month, on Nov. 11.
Nov. 19

The Altruists
The Altruists stars Anthony Boyle as Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, the now-defunct cryptocurrency hedge fund that defrauded its customers. Julia Garner co-stars as Caroline Ellison, who once worked closely with Bankman-Fried (but would eventually testify against him in court). The eight-episode series chronicles the way their investment firms eventually turned into criminal enterprises. It premieres on Nov. 19.
Nov. 20
Steps
Ali Wong and Stephanie Hsu voice the main characters, Lilith and Margot, in the new animated feature Steps, which reimagines the lives of Cinderella’s stepsisters. In the film, the duo is tired of living in Cinderella’s (Amanda Seyfried) shadow, so they steal the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and change the course of history (well, the history of this fairy tale as we know it). Bette Midler co-stars as the Fairy Godmother, Danielle Radcliffe voices the Prince and keep an ear out for Nikki Glaser, Peter Dinklage and more.
Nov. 23

The Trials of Karen Read
Karen Read is a Massachusetts woman who was accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston cop John O’Keefe, and leaving his body in the snow during a blizzard. The story isn’t as straightforward as that, though; before and during Read’s criminal trial, several additional theories into O’Keefe’s death emerged, and Read’s guilt wasn’t so clear-cut. Read’s story gripped the country, and this new documentary, featuring interviews with O’Keefe’s family and friends, as well as the trial jurors who found Read not guilty, will shed light on the many facets of the story. For more true crime on Netflix this month, you can also tune in to Taken: Natalee Holloway on Nov. 4 and Unprotected: Murder in Galicia on Nov. 6.

The Great British Baking Show: Holidays
Every year, The Great British Baking Show drops a pair of holiday-themed episodes where contestants compete in challenges to bake gingerbread, mince pies and all manner of things that pair well with nog. This year, those holiday-themed specials will arrive on Netflix on Nov. 23, but as with past seasons, American audiences should take note that these were originally filmed last year. So, we’re getting them on a bit of a delay… which is why Prue Leith is still one of the judges, not Nigella Lawson, who replaced Leith on the show’s new season.
Nov. 25

The Mosquito Bowl
In 1941, John McLaughry, Bob Bauman, Tony Butkovich and Dave Schreiner were real-life college football stars. But after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the four men enlisted in the Marine Corps and went off to fight in the Pacific. The men still got to play ball, though. The Mosquito Bowl is the story of a football game between soldiers on Guadalcanal, played amid one of the war’s most harrowing moments. The film stars Nicholas Galitzine as McLaughry, Bill Skarsgård as Bauman, Ray Nicholson as Butkovich and Tom Francis as Schreiner. Peter Berg directed the film, which arrived in theaters on Oct. 30 and drops on Netflix Nov. 25.
Nov. 26

Fool Night
Fool Night, the acclaimed manga written by Kasumi Yasuda, is now a Netflix series. The show is a collaboration between two of Japan’s premier anime studios, Sunrise (Cowboy Bebop) and Shaft (Puella Magi Madoka Magica). The show exists in a world where most of the planet’s vegetation and plant life have died off, so people invented transfloration, a process where humans who are about to die can implant seeds in their bodies to turn into plants. In the story, Toshiro Kamiya is a man with nothing left to live for, so he begins the transfloration process, only to gain special abilities as a result.
Nov. 26

The Hunting Wives (Season 2)
The juicy, soapy, sexy drama The Hunting Wives became a smash hit when it first premiered. The series stars Brittany Snow as Sophie, a Boston woman who relocated to Texas and is drawn into the orbit of Margo Banks (Malin Akerman), the queen bee of a clique known as the Hunting Wives, with whom she starts an affair. In Sophie’s new life, there’s a lot of sex, there are so many secrets and, yeah, there’s also murder. The new season drops on Nov. 26.
