Highly esteemed director Guy Ritchie has built quite the reputation for himself in Hollywood and among moviewatchers for directing some of the most thrilling and fast-paced big-screen dramas in the last nearly 3 decades. However, some of my personal favorite moments from Ritchie come from hisTV-side ventures.
Outside of his executive-producing and directing credits on the Paramount+ hit MobLand, he is the brain behind one of Netflix‘s high-octane crime dramas that scored big with critics and fans back in 2024 when Season 1 debuted. Now, over two years after the last episode of the Netflix series aired, the streamer has finally announced a release date for Season 2. Not only that, but with a teaser and a few details shared, fans now have some major clues about what they could look forward to seeing in the new episodes.
‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2 Premieres on September 3
The Gentlemen Season 2 drops on Netflix on September 3. Now, for those not as familiar, the series is based on Ritchie’s 2019 movie, and Season 1 debuted on Netflix back in March 2024. It did so with a lot of fanfare from both fans and critics (Season 1 is currently Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 75%). It followed Eddie (Theo James) and Freddy (Daniel Ings) Horniman as they tried to pick up the pieces of their father’s estate after he died. However, things quickly turned south once they learned of their father’s drug business, and they got caught up in a dangerous crime ring that often threatens their lives.

When Season 1 of The Gentlemenwrapped, Eddie realized he may have a knack for the life of crime, and enjoyed the dangerous career he was building alongside partner, Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario). Well in Season 2, “The new season takes Eddie and Susie’s operation out from a buried cannabis farm underneath Halstead to the lakeside villas of Italy, where the power duo is making a foothold.” Take a look at the Season 2 teaser below:
