Navi Mumbai to Host First Comic Con in November 2026

Comic Con India is set to launch its inaugural event in Navi Mumbai, with the festival scheduled for November 28-29, 2026, at the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre. The expansion marks the latest move by organizer NODWIN Gaming to broaden the reach of the popular culture convention across India.

The announcement follows the recent addition of Visakhapatnam (Vizag) to the Comic Con calendar for the 2026-27 season. This strategic expansion aims to engage new audiences and establish a presence in rapidly developing urban centers beyond the convention’s established metropolitan locations.

Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, highlighted Navi Mumbai’s growth trajectory and existing fan base. “Navi Mumbai is undergoing significant development, with efforts by the Maharashtra government to enhance infrastructure and attract new industries. We have observed a dedicated community of fans and cosplayers from Navi Mumbai frequently attending our Mumbai events, indicating a strong local interest. Bringing Comic Con to Navi Mumbai addresses this demand and provides a dedicated platform for the local community,” Johnson stated.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, commented on the demographic appeal of the new location. “Navi Mumbai represents a demographic of new urban India, characterized by diverse communities and an openness to new experiences. The city’s cosplay and pop-culture communities have shown consistent growth through local initiatives and groups.
