Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment is joining hands with filmmaker Ruchir Arun for a new series, bringing together one of the industry’s prominent production houses and a director known for telling stories that feel close to everyday life.

Arun has gradually built a strong identity with his work, particularly through stories that explore relationships, personal struggles and the emotional side of contemporary life. His storytelling often focuses on characters who feel relatable, while keeping the situations grounded and easy to connect with.
The filmmaker recently directed Musafir Cafe, adding another project to his growing body of work. The series has also highlighted Arun’s interest in modern relationships and characters dealing with emotions that are often complicated but familiar.
Before this, Arun was associated with popular projects such as Little Things and Ghar Waapsi, both of which found an audience for their relatively simple yet emotionally engaging storytelling.
