Monster Hunter Wilds summons a new wave of hunters to the Forbidden Lands, when the acclaimed action RPG releases for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. Today we get to learn a bit more about the title, as Capcom has revealed the framerate, resolution and performance settings for the Switch 2 version. Hunters on the Expedition Team journey to the Forbidden Lands in search of the mysterious “White Wraith,” wield 14 iconic weapon types against larger-than-life monsters, and gather resources to craft an expansive arsenal of more powerful gear during their search for answers. The Nintendo Switch 2 release includes all Title Update content including the Grand Hub, returning fan-favorite monsters including Lagiacrus, and the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online collaboration. Additionally, hunters can band together with other Nintendo Switch 2 players using local wireless connections, or online with full cross-play support.
The Standard Edition of Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on the Nintendo eShop for MSRP $39.99, while the Gold Edition including the base game and a wealth of cosmetic DLC will be available for MSRP $79.99. When digital pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds begin on October 19, the Standard Edition will be available for an early adopter’s discount of MSRP $29.99 until the promotion ends on December 3, 2026. The physical Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition, including the base game and the Deluxe Pack cosmetics, will be available for MSRP $39.99. A free Prologue Demo will also be coming before launch, so keep a look out!
