NFL legend Michael Strahan is taking on a new project. It was announced Wednesday that the Hall of Fame defensive end will host a three-part ABC series titled “Iconic.”
According to Strahan’s production company SMAC <a href="https://comicvibe.com/cinepolis-red-chillies-entertainment-drop-co/” title=”Cinépolis & Red Chillies Entertainment drop co”>Entertainment, the limited series presents “a look inside the worlds of fashion, television and music, featuring conversations with some of the most influential names in pop culture.”
The first episode will feature Tommy Hilfiger, Heidi Klum, Dwyane Wade and Molly Rogers. It premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and will stream on Disney+ and Hulu the following day.
Strahan sent a clear message about his latest career move
“Throughout my life and career, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and get to know some great people-true GOATS who have inspired me both personally and professionally,” said the 54-year-old. “With this series, I wanted to take audiences inside their worlds and go beyond what we already know about them.”
“We all know their impact on pop culture, but what makes these individuals truly iconic is how they’ve broken barriers, challenged expectations, and made their mark in industries far beyond where they started,” he continued. “These are the stories, the ambition, and the unexpected journeys.”
The series adds to Strahan’s broadcasting and business commitments. In addition to co-anchoring ABC’s daily show “Good Morning America,” the Super Bowl-winning DE also serves as an NFL studio analyst for Fox.
Strahan has also built a business empire after his playing career. Apart from his production company, he also owns the lifestyle and apparel brand, Michael Strahan. More recently, he co-founded Grand Slam of Flag, a global women’s flag football series that is scheduled to debut in February 2027.
Strahan played 15 years in the NFL from 1993 to 2007, all with the New York Giants. In 2001, he set the NFL’s single-season sack record with 22.5 and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. He retired in 2008 as a seven-time Pro Bowler and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
