    Key Points

    • Interested in Meta Platforms, Inc.? Here are five stocks we like better.

    • Meta unveiled Muse, a personal AI agent designed to manage tasks, information and interactions across devices. It is expanding in Canada and will connect with services such as Spotify, Shopify, PayPal and Instacart, with Meta planning to monetize transactions over time.

    • Meta is upgrading its smart <a href="https://comicvibe.com/i-tried-the-new-meta-vr-glasses-and-they-blew-me-away/” title=”I tried the new Meta VR glasses and they blew me away”>glasses with ongoing Muse voice conversations, background assistance, privacy-focused processing and features including live translation and FDA-cleared hearing enhancement. The company also introduced new audio-glasses designs and expanded Ray-Ban Meta styles.

    • Meta announced Meta VR Glasses, a roughly 100-gram immersive device for entertainment, gaming and multi-monitor computing, scheduled to ship in spring at $1,299. It also previewed the Muse Charm wearable, expected to launch in December.

    • Meta One Subscriptions Show Positive Early Signs, Analysts Forecast Long-Term Growth

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) used its Connect event to outline an expanded artificial intelligence strategy centered on Muse, a personal agent the company said is designed to help users complete tasks, manage information and interact across devices.

The event’s keynote speaker described personal superintelligence as a technology that could give users “an extremely capable personal agent” that understands their goals and can work on their behalf. Meta said its approach is to distribute the technology broadly, rather than concentrate it among a small number of organizations.

Muse, which Meta said it shipped several weeks ago, is intended to evolve into a personal agent used by billions of people. The company said each Muse has its own private and secure virtual machine, or Muse secure VM, and that the Muse Spark model is trained specifically for personal-agent tasks.

Muse expands across shopping, productivity and devices

Alexandr Wang, Meta’s Chief AI Officer, said the company has rolled out Muse in Canada and plans to bring it to additional countries. Meta recently launched a Muse Mac app that can work across users’ files, messages, calendars and notes

Meta also announced Computer Vision capabilities for Muse on Mac. With a user’s permission, Wang said, the agent will be able to operate apps on the computer and continue working on queued tasks while the user is away. The company is also developing an email capability that would allow users to add Muse to an email thread or forward emails for it to handle.
