The Merchants Alley Happy Hour Music Series is returning for fall, bringing live music to one of downtown Athens’ favorite gathering spots every Friday evening from September 4, and running through October 30.
Merchants Alley Happy Hour is intentionally a little more laid-back: Each Friday from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., grab a drink or dinner from your favorite downtown restaurant, meet up with friends, find a seat in the Alley, and enjoy local and regional music — all for no admission charge.
Guests may come for the admission-free music, but there’s plenty of added incentive to make plans to spend the whole afternoon or evening downtown. Pick up a drink to enjoy in the Entertainment District, grab dinner before or after the show, do a little shopping at one of the area’s unique and locally-operated businesses, and then head over to Merchants Alley for live entertainment.
