There’s a new addition to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s family. The famous couple’s white, fluffy Samoyed pup named Wendy made her public debut in a new ad campaign.
The dog was first spotted earlier this summer when she stepped off a plane in Palm Springs with her Kansas City Chiefs tight end father and Grammy-winning mom. Alas, the world received no formal introduction to the pup — until Tuesday, when she appeared in a Tommy Hilfiger ad campaign alongside Kelce. The new ad shows Kelce checking into the Plaza Hotel with one very good girl by his side.
In the latest episode of his <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZKgEhA_KyA” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>New Heightspodcast that aired on Wednesday, Kelce revealed the dog’s name is Wendy. “Little ol’ Wendy’s a little over a year old now. We’ve had her for quite a while. Trying to keep it under wraps.”
In a recent interview with Vogue about the Hilfiger campaign, which also features stars like Swift’s bestie Gigi Hadid, Kelce said that their pup “lights up my day.” So, naturally, when Tommy Hilfiger was seeking a dog to accompany Kelce in the campaign, the nepo puppy was the ideal choice.
“We figured, why not her? She crushed it and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic too,” he told the magazine. “Those are some of my favorite shots.”
In the New Heights episode released on Wednesday, Kelce spoke to his brother Jason about the addition to their family.
“She is officially a picture dog,” Kelce said of Wendy and the Hilfiger campaign. “We gotta get the line in her size. Unfortunately, she’s just got her fur on. We gotta work with Tommy on getting her some good clothes.”
“It’s kind of crazy how perfect she looks in the Tommy Hilfiger world,” he added. “She matches the brand and the shoot and it was pretty easy to get her to jump on the couch and have some fun with us. But yeah, Wendy’s a model. She’s a model dog.”
Swift, who wed Kelce at Madison Square Garden on July 3 after nearly three years of dating, has not had a dog of her own. The self-proclaimed “childless cat lady” has three cats — Oli in her music videos and social media posts
Despite being a cat person, Swift does have a dog sibling: Her mother Andrea Swift has a massive Great Dane — ironically named Kitty. In fact, Swift named a character in her song “The Life of a Showgirl” after Kitty.
