Well, we didn’t see this coming
A huge reveal has just added fuel to the fire surrounding a rumoured LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars crossover, and fans should be cautiously excited.
Yesterday, we reported on rumours suggesting that, at some point in 2027, we could see a crossover between LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars in the rumoured 75481 Iron Falcon. It’s important to stress that this isstill only a rumourand should be taken with a pinch of salt. Until the LEGO Group officially reveals such a set, nothing has been confirmed.
When the rumours first began circulating, some fans understandably saw them as wild and unlikely. After all, not long ago we received 75389 The Dark Falcon, a reskin of one of the most famous ships in the galaxy, and now another version could reportedly be on the way – only this time with a Marvel connection. It almost sounds too crazy to be true.
We also discussed how Marvel and Star Wars have been connected through Marvel Comics since 1977. Now, that connection is officially set to grow, with a crossover comic series scheduled to launch in January 2027.
Entertainment Weekly has reported, following an exclusive interview with filmmaker Kevin Smith, that he will write a five-part comic series titledStar Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles.
“Back in the early ’80s, I had a subscription to Marvel’s Star Wars comics,” Smith told EW. “And as fun as it was to follow the continuing adventures of Luke, Leia, and Han, I always wished that Spider-Man or Doctor Doom could cross over into their cinematic saga.”

The series will be released monthly until May 2027 as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations forStar Wars, and will reportedly see a ‘reality-shattering spell’ bring the Star Wars franchise into Marvel’s main universe, Earth-616.
However, this does not confirm the rumoured LEGO set in any way.The LEGO Group has not announced 75481 Iron Falcon, and there is currently no official indication that a LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars crossover set is planned for 2027. The timing of this newly announced comic crossover could simply be a coincidence.
However, the fact that Marvel and Star Wars are officially crossing over in a major new story is still an exciting development for LEGO fans. If the LEGO Group were ever to explore the concept, it could open the door to a whole host of unusual and potentially very exciting possibilities. But right now, such a crossover is still officially limited to this comic book series.
