Previous editions have featured titles including SPY×FAMILY, The Apothecary Diaries and Oshi no Ko near the top of the ranking. Last year’s edition received 222,758 votes, while more than 30 works featured through the project have gone on to receive anime adaptations.

Eligible titles must be published manga or ongoing series, including web manga and works not yet collected into volumes. Manga that have already received TV, theatrical or OVA anime adaptations are not eligible, while live-action adaptations without an anime version may still qualify.

Nominations are open through November 12. Public voting will run from December 22 through January 30, 2027, with the Top 10 scheduled to be announced at an awards ceremony in March 2027. Winning titles will also receive promotional displays and screening opportunities at AnimeJapan 2027.
