The latest batch of July 2026 Confirmed”>PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games has been announced, which we can look forward to this July 2026.

It’s that time of the month again when Sony reveals what’s coming to its PlayStation Plus subscription service, more specifically, the Extra and Premium tiers.

We’ve got a total of nine games that we can play this month, and it includes a nice mixture of AAA delights, third-party offerings and a retro classic.

Following the recent controversy regarding Sony’s intentions to ditch physical media in 2028, it’s probably fair to say that PS Plus needs a big win this week, but is this it? Only time will tell.

What’s coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in July 2026?

As we’ve seen previously, Sony is now rolling out the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium titles in waves. These waves include the UK, US and Japan. Here’s what we can look forward to:

    • Available today: Rise of the Ronin (16th for Japan)
    • Wave 2 (Tuesday, July 21): Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit
    • Wave 3 (Tuesday, July 28): Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Dying Light, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Snow Bros. Wonderland

Which game is the standout in the latest batch of PS Plus games?

We probably have two, that being Rise of the Ronin and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the latter of which recently had a third-person update, in addition to the already existing first-person perspective.

“Rise of the Ronin has some incredibly enjoyable peaks, but so too does it feature some annoying pitfalls – making for an experience that may be jarring in comparison to other perfectly polished PlayStation exclusives,” said GAMINGbible’s Kate, in her 2024 review.

“Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a surprise cherry on top of what has been a fantastic year for video games, and I encourage fans of the Avatar movies to put this unexpected charming delight on your ever-expanding wishlist,” I said in my review in 2023.

As for the next announcement regarding PlayStation Plus titles, that will be the Essential tier, which is also included in Extra and Premium. That announcement is expected to be made on Wednesday, July 29. Those games will then be made available to subscribers on Tuesday, 4 August 2026.
