Another day, another Taylor Sheridan series.
Lioness isn’t another Yellowstone spinoff, though. The series, now entering its third season, is described by Paramount Plus as an “intense, female-led espionage thriller” and features Oscar winners Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman, who star in and executive-produce the counter-terrorism drama.
Season 3 continues to follow Joe McNamara (Saldaña) as she works with Lioness, the CIA’s undercover program, which serves as “the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.” The series goes global, with supervisors Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and Byron Westfield (Michael Kelly) still guiding her missions from the Situation Room in DC.
The problem is the war she’s fighting has now followed her home.
Joining Saldaña, Kidman and Kelly in Lioness are Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier and Ian Bohen.

Paramount Plus is the only way to watch Lioness. In the US, the first episode will drop on Sunday, Aug.2, with new episodes premiering weekly thereafter every Sunday through to the finale on Sept. 20.
