While Stray Kids continues to make noise around the world with its latest music and tour, member Lee Know has quietly turned the spotlight towards Nepal, where devastating floods have left families struggling to rebuild their lives.

The singer has donated 100 million won (about $72,600) to support children and families affected by the floods in Nepal, his agency JYP <a href="https://comicvibe.com/flutter-entertainment-flut-after-the-court-ruling-is-it-still-a-bargain/” title=”Flutter Entertainment (FLUT) After The Court Ruling Is It Still A Bargain”>Entertainment said on Sunday.

Lee Know makes donation through World Vision

Lee Know made the donation to humanitarian organisation World Vision on Friday. He requested that the money be used for emergency relief and to help families whose homes and livelihoods were damaged by the floods.

“I hope my support can offer a little strength to those going through this difficult time,” Lee Know said through JYP Entertainment.

He also expressed his hope that both flood victims and those working on the ground would soon be able to return to normal life.

“I sincerely hope that those affected by the floods and everyone working on relief efforts in the field can return to peaceful daily life as soon as possible,” he said.

    Food, shelter and clean water

World Vision said the donation will go towards immediate relief needs. The organisation plans to use the funds to provide food, temporary shelter, clean water and sanitation to people affected by the disaster.

Lee Know has had a long association with World Vision. He has been sponsoring children through the organisation since 2014.

His latest donation is also not his first major contribution through the charity. In 2024, he gave another 100 million won to World Vision to support efforts addressing the global food crisis.

    More donations in recent years

The Stray Kids member has also supported other causes with large donations.

Last year, Lee Know donated 100 million won to Samsung Medical Center and another 100 million won to a cat rescue organisation.

    Stray Kids continue world tour

The donation comes as Lee Know and the other members of Stray Kids remain busy with music and touring.

The eight-member group released its EP “This & That” on August 7, and the record went straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The group is also currently travelling for its “Run It” world tour, which began at KSPO Dome in southern Seoul on July 25.
