According to the requirements leaked by Moore’s Law is Dead, developers must follow these guidelines to receive a PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced tag. However, developers have a choice in direction, as the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag can be awarded to a title that increases its target resolution from its original base PS5 resolution. Furthermore, a PS5 Pro Enhanced tag can be given to a game with a higher maximum resolution target, a higher framerate target, or the addition of new or higher-quality ray-tracing effects.
Rockstar is reportedly using the PS5 Pro’s improved GPU to push GTA 6 to 4K, likely using the latest version of PSSR. As launch approaches in November, the debate amongst the GTA community over performance versus visuals will undoubtedly intensify. But if I were to bet on the outcome, I would say Rockstar will go the increased image-fidelity route, with a possible 40FPS mode and 60FPS on the PS6.
