Popular Korean cosplayer and influencer Yasal (야살) recently went viral online due to a video from a fan meet. Known for her fashionable, beauty-focused style and diverse cosplay looks that have captivated a large Gen Z fanbase, she is now at the center of a heated discussion over bold intimate interactions at the event. The video, released just three days ago, has already surpassed 50 million views, quickly becoming a global talking point.
A Chinese anime fan recently shared the fan meet video on X (formerly Twitter), unexpectedly igniting an astonishing discussion. In just three days since its release, the video has accumulated approximately 50 million views, 3,000 comments, and 17,000 reposts, with its trending topic status continuing to soar.
In the video, Yasal, wearing a striking outfit that revealed significant cleavage, is seen holding a fan’s chin and then repeatedly kissing their lips. The female fan appears somewhat shy, repeatedly trying to pull back, but Yasal actively continues the kisses. The level of intimacy left many netizens stunned. After the footage emerged, opinions from international netizens were divided: some found the interaction too extreme and unacceptable, while others believed it was merely a special segment of the fan meet and shouldn’t be overanalyzed.
Some netizens couldn’t help but exclaim, “This is terrifying!” and “She actually did something like this to a fan she doesn’t know?” and “It gave me goosebumps.” However, another group of netizens held completely different views, even expressing envy: “I’m so jealous!” and “It’s her freedom to do what she wants!” Others excitedly asked, “When is the next event?” and “I want to go too!”
As the discussion intensified, Yasal herself commented on the original post to clarify the situation in the video. She laughed and stated, “Haha, she’s one of my female fans,” revealing that the person being kissed was indeed a female fan, not what some netizens had assumed.
Yasal further added, “She asked me to do it, so I hope everyone doesn’t misunderstand.” She emphasized that this intimate interaction was a requested segment of the fan event, not a unilateral action, in an attempt to quell external doubts.
In fact, Yasal has accumulated considerable popularity in Korea and abroad thanks to her distinct personal style, striking appearance, and exceptional fashion sense. Beyond her cosplay works, she frequently shares diverse concept photos, beauty content, and lifestyle updates, gradually expanding her personal influence.
This fan meet video unexpectedly sparked a global discussion, not only bringing Yasal’s name into the spotlight but also reigniting debate among netizens about the appropriate boundaries of interaction between fans and influencers. Whether it’s considered bold fan service or an unacceptably intimate gesture, opinions remain widely divided.
