It’s October 3rd, which means some are celebrating the day Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it is.

The made-up holiday has been celebrated worldwide by fans of 2004’s teen comedy, Mean Girls, which starred Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lizzy Caplan, Daniel Franzese, Jonathan Bennett and more.

The Tina Fey-penned film has woven itself into the fabric of our collective memory, with unforgettable moments such as Regina George’s infamous “Burn Book” to Damian’s hilarious “She doesn’t even go here!” all while serving up timeless humor and poignant insights into the complexities of high school life.

To help celebrate the special day, check out these rarely seen photos of the stars on set.

Not only did Tina Fey write Mean Girls, but she also starred in it herself. Pictured here is Fey as Ms. Norbury, a math teacher at North Shore High School.

In 2024, Fey told PEOPLE why she agreed to bring her<a href="https://people.com/how-you-know-the-cast-of-the-2024-mean-girls-movie-musical-8420477″ rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>role of Ms. Norburyback to the big screen for the movie’s musical remake.

“We thought, well, teachers work for a long time. So it might make sense if [costar Tim Meadows] and I did it,” she said.
