Following its initial PC release in March, iRacing Arcade is heading to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S later this week on 21st August.
Priced at $24.99, the console version will launch with split-screen multiplayer, allowing up to four players to race together on circuits including Lime Rock Park, Knockhill and Tsukuba. Pricing in other territories remains unconfirmed.
The trailer describes iRacing Arcade’s split-screen multiplayer as “four-player local co-op.” This implies players will work together cooperatively, but it appears to be traditional competitive racing for up to four players. We’ve reached out to iRacing for clarification.
We also tested a work-in-progress version of the split-screen multiplayer at SimRacing Expo Charlotte this year. While it supports up to four players, the grid can be filled out with AI opponents with different skill levels.
Additionally, the console version will add four new vehicles: the 1960s-inspired Formula Fangio single-seater, the 1980s-inspired Formula Turbo, the Mercedes 190 E touring car and the Big Rig.
Notably, the Mercedes 190 E will be playable in an officially licensed DTM racing series, while the Big Rig is a returning class from Circuit Superstars by the same developer, Original Fire Games.

Four new real-world circuits also join the track roster, including Jerez, Nevers Magny, Misano World Circuit and two versions of Monza, including an historic layout.
A free update launching the same day (August 21st) will add the new cars, circuits and split-screen multiplayer to the PC version.
The approachable arcade-style racer features charming visuals, a mix of fictional and licensed cars, and a single-player career mode where you build a race team and manage facilities.
Speaking to Traxion, iRacing’s Executive Vice President and Executive Producer, Steve Myers, described this mode as “iRacing meets Mario Kart meets SimCity.”
