August 2026 brought countless stories from the Indonesian Virtual YouTuber scene. From new original songs, graduation news, and disbandments of agencies, there is a lot of VTuber news that we can’t cover on our site.

Achievements and Milestones
- On 28 August 2026, Elya Rosabelle reached 100 thousand subscribers on YouTube after 3 years of career as an independent VTuber.
- Pinku Rimu, a female VTuber from Re:Memories reached 90 thousand subscribers on YouTube on 29 August 2026.
Events
- A VR-chat-based event, Pasar Online Virtual Indonesia (PORTAL) 2026, was held on 1-2 August 2026, with a concept of a virtual market and convention, with the purpose of focusing on the Indonesian digital ecosystem in both online and virtual worlds.
- VTuber DJ Liveset 5 event by TKV ID was held on 8 August 2026 at Clip and Sip Cafe, Jakarta. The event featured numerous VTubers, both singers and DJs (disc jockeys), as well as real-life DJs. The event was focused on karaoke and DJ sessions.
- TKV ID, an event organiser focused on VTuber events was held their own community booth at the One Belpark Asian Market event on 9 August 2026. They brought four VTuber indies as their guest stars, and one of them was Hasegawa Miu.
- AFAID (Anime Festival Asia) 26 at BSD ICE, Tangerang – 15-16 August 2026, Indonesian VTubers were introduced to a wide range of audiences at this event. From TKV ID holding their own booth, with GRAVT and Prism:NOVA among their guest stars, to PANDAVVA holding their own shows during the first day of the event.
- VTuber agency Project:LIVIUM held their special Independence Day event on 22 August 2026, titled Livium Agustusan. The event featured Kahoot, GeoGuessr, and a poem contest.
Announcements
- Indonesian branch of MAHA5 was disbanded after nearly 7 years of operations.
- Ririna Ruu has parted ways with AfteRain after two years to continue as an indie VTuber.
- VTuber agency EVREN would feature a construction theme for their upcoming Comifuro 23 (CF23) event on 12 August 2026. For the remainder of August, in addition to Lyanna Chernovskya and Amami Yoruna from EVREN, they introduced Mazy Mayse and Aloisa Arbeiter as part of the upcoming event.
- Oriana Solstair from Whicker Butler has been a graduate since 31 August 2026, following the graduation announcement on 15 August 2026.
- Former indie and AKA Virtual VTuber, Juliana Shafira, has been with Oristarium since 24 August 2026.
- On 26 August 2026, Re:Memories collaborated with Arunika Virtual, an influencer marketing agency focusing on Anime, Comic, Games (ACG), and VTuber campaigns, for the upcoming Comifuro 23 event on 26 August 2026. The merchandise pre-order opened on 1 September 2026.
- VTuber agency LAV (Limitless Actress Virtual) has been disbanded since 30 August 2026 with two remaining talents, Tachibana Mirai and Kanata Reina, will continue as indie VTubers the following day.
