‘I’m happy you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad’: Kangana Ranaut’s message to Hrithik Roshan reignites their 2016 feud

The long-running public dispute between actors Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan has returned to the spotlight after the two exchanged remarks on social media.

Kangana responded to Hrithik after he reacted to a viral online trend calling for an apology to him. In her Instagram Stories, she asked the actor to stop making comments that, according to her, were encouraging people to target her.

Hrithik reacts to viral ‘apology’ trend

The latest controversy began after filmmaker and writer Freddy Birdy shared a post on Instagram saying, “The world owes an apology to Hrithik Roshan.”

The post quickly drew attention online, with some users connecting it to Hrithik’s highly publicised dispute with Kangana from 2016.

Hrithik responded to the post but did not directly name Kangana. He said people should not support one person simply because they had turned against someone else.

“My friend, siding with ‘A’ just because you don’t like ‘B’ anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society,” Hrithik wrote.

He added that he would wait until the “context” was right and the discussion was based on facts before taking a position.

His response was widely discussed on social media, with users debating whether it was connected to his past conflict with Kangana.

    Kangana calls out Hrithik

Hours later, Kangana shared a news report about Hrithik’s reaction on her Instagram Stories and responded directly.

She said she was happy that Hrithik had found love with actor and musician Saba Azad and wished the couple well. At the same time, she accused him of indirectly encouraging people who she claimed were harassing and bullying her using his name.

Kangana also told Hrithik that his comments were inappropriate and asked him not to provoke her through such remarks.

“Stop adding fuel to fire and embarrassing your partner,” she wrote, while hoping that “better sense prevails” and that he would stop making what she called unreasonable comments.

    What triggered the latest discussion?

The renewed online debate came after Kangana made remarks about student protests. Her comments led to a public exchange with Cockroach Janta Party spokesperson Saurav Das.

Das responded with a joke involving Hrithik. He said some of his friends had told him that he looked like a younger version of the actor and suggested that this might be why Kangana was targeting him.

“My friends told me, ‘You look like a young Hrithik Roshan. Maybe that’s why Kangana is attacking you,’” Das said.

The 2016 dispute that still follows them

Kangana and Hrithik’s conflict became public in 2016 after Kangana referred to Hrithik as her “silly ex” during an interview.

Hrithik later publicly denied that the two had ever been in a relationship. The disagreement eventually developed into a major public and legal dispute.

Both actors exchanged legal notices and made conflicting statements about their past interactions. The controversy also involved allegations concerning emails and other claims.
