Soundview Little League from Tacoma, Wash. represents the Northwest region. The team won a close 2-0 game against Phenix City, Ala., who represents the Southeast region. The team avoided elimination in the Northwest region tournament to make a championship run. Soundview LL completed the comeback with an exciting 8-5 win over Idaho’s West Valley Little League to advance to Williamsport. Now, Soundview has brought that same electricity and excitement to Williamsport.
Boerne Little League represents the Southwest region and will play its first game on Saturday. The team’s journey to Williamsport definitely wasn’t easy. Despite the obstacles, this Texas team got a 4-1 win over Ascension Parish, Louisiana, in the Southwest region championship game. Watch the team for just a few minutes, and you can see the bond they’ve created and how calm the team is under pressure.
