What Video Games Are Coming Out in September 2026?

We’re here — the massive September (and then there’s October don’t worry) of all the video games crammed into eight weeks to avoid the release of GTA VI in November. How will anyone play even a small handful of these games?! The quest is yours, players.

In the world of massive AAA releases there’s games like The Blood of Dawnwalker, Marvel’s Wolverine, control Resonant and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Pair those with other time-sinks like the full release of Moonlighter 2, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave or Minecraft Dungeons 2 and you’re set to ask for a lot of time off work for this quarter.

Here are all the major video games set to be released in September 2026, along with some smaller gameswe’rekeeping an eye on and some exciting new tech and gear.
