Here’s everything to know about unlocking them, their powers, and the best places to farm each one.
Fortnite Trick or Treat Sprites release date
Trick or Treat Sprites arrive in Fortnite on Thursday, October 8, as part of the Fortnitemares 2026 celebrations. They can be found in both Battle Royale and Zero Build matches.Essentially, these Sprites give you a chance to find candy when opening containers. You can boost their XP by searching chests, smashing pumpkins, opening containers, and extracting other Sprites. Eliminating opponents, NPCs, and bosses also contributes XP.
Where to find Trick or Treat Sprites in Fortnite
The best starting point is Nightmare Neighborhood, the new POI that has replaced The Battlewoods for Fortnitemares 2026, where pumpkins can be smashed for a chance at a Sprite. Beyond that, players can loot Vaults for rare chests and Cheat Codes, or use a Skeleton Key to unlock Secret Rooms, which also have a chance of containing Trick or Treat Sprites.

Once a Sprite is found, remember to extract it before it can be used for the rest of the match. This was all you needed to know about the Treat or Treat Sprites in Fortnite.
