Sony’s first PlayStation desktop speakers get a price and release date

Sony is finally putting a date on its long-awaited Pulse Elevate wireless speakers. First announced nearly a year ago with a vague 2026 launch window, the speakers will be available to pre-order from September 1 at 10 AM local time/10 AM ET in the US, with the full release following on November 12, 2026.
The Pulse Elevate will cost $219.99 in the US, €219.99 in Europe, £199.99 in the UK, and ¥37,980 in Japan. So far, Sony hasn’t indicated that the launch will be delayed, unlike some of its other upcoming PlayStation accessories.
Sony originally showed the speakers in both Midnight Black and White, although which version you can buy depends on where you live. The black model will be sold globally through direct.playstation.com and participating retailers. The white version will be more limited, with direct.playstation.com exclusivity in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Other markets will get it through selected retailers.
The Pulse Elevate is essentially designed as a flexible desktop audio system for the PlayStation ecosystem. It works with PS5, PS5 Pro, PC and Mac, while also supporting portable devices such as PlayStation Portal and smartphones. You can even connect it to a TV or other Bluetooth-compatible hardware.
Inside each speaker are planar magnetic drivers inspired by studio equipment, along with a dedicated woofer for lower frequencies. Sony says the system supports the PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, allowing games to make use of spatial audio for a more immersive experience.
There’s also a built-in microphone system with AI-powered noise rejection, physical controls on top and support for both PlayStation Link and Bluetooth. The speakers come with charging docks as standard, although Sony hasn’t revealed an exact battery-life figure yet. They can be positioned facing directly toward you or tilted backward depending on your setup.
For PlayStation fans, the biggest selling point may be convenience rather than outright audio performance. Instead of maintaining separate speakers for a PS5, PC and portable gaming setup, the Pulse Elevate is designed to move between all three with relatively little hassle.
