For K-pop collectors, a collaboration can be more than a logo on a T-shirt. It can become something to display, carry to a concert, or make part of a fan’s everyday routine. That is the appeal behind ATEEZ’s new partnership with Hello Kitty’s Black Series, which puts a darker spin on Sanrio’s familiar character.

The eight-member Korean group is joining the character franchise for a limited-time pop-up in Tokyo’s Omotesando district, alongside a range of figures, accessories and clothing. The pairing connects ATEEZ’s performance-driven identity with a Hello Kitty aesthetic built around black rather than the character’s more familiar pastel palette.

What is in the ATEEZ x Hello Kitty collection?

The official ONETODAY shop lists 12 products spanning figures, apparel and smaller accessories. An ATEEZ figure with a T-shirt costs ¥30,000, while the Love and Heart figure variations are ¥25,000 each. A plush keyring costs ¥4,000, a light stick accessory ¥2,000, a hoodie ¥9,500 and a tumbler bottle ¥6,800.

That spread matters. Someone who wants a small reminder of the collaboration can choose a sticker or keyring, while dedicated collectors have higher-priced display pieces. The collection gives the partnership a life beyond the pop-up itself, whether an item ends up on a shelf, on a bag or alongside concert merchandise.

What fans can see at the Tokyo pop-up

The official announcement sets the pop-up for October 16 to 25, 2026, at MIL GALLERY in Omotesando. Opening hours are listed as 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the final admission at 7:30 p.m. Entry is based on advance reservations in 30-minute slots, subject to any changes announced by the organizer.

A roughly 70 cm Hello Kitty figure signed by ATEEZ members is among the main displays. The venue will also feature large ATEEZ visuals, Black Series character displays and an area where visitors can leave messages for the group. The separate MIL 2ND venue handles collection of eligible online purchases.

There is a chance element to some figure purchases, too. Selected ATEEZ, Love and Heart figures may contain a randomly inserted card signed by a group member. The organizer states that a signed card is not guaranteed and that buyers cannot choose the member.

Online sales are scheduled to remain available through November 15, giving fans who cannot attend the Tokyo event another route to the merchandise.

Why the collaboration works as fandom marketing

The collaboration combines two kinds of recognition. ATEEZ brings a defined music fandom, while Hello Kitty brings a character whose visual identity translates readily into toys, fashion and accessories. The Black Series styling gives the partnership a specific look instead of relying only on both names appearing together.

It also offers different ways to participate. A fan can visit the temporary space, photograph the displays, leave a message, purchase a wearable item or collect a figure. These are distinct experiences rather than one uniform purchase, and each makes the collaboration tangible in a different way.

This is not the first time Hello Kitty has been used to build a branded physical experience. ContentGrip has also covered CHAGEE’s Hello Kitty collaboration, which combined themed merchandise with a seasonal pop-up. The ATEEZ edition takes a different route by anchoring the experience in a music fandom and collector-oriented figures.

For marketers, the interesting choice is not simply pairing a famous character with a popular group. It is designing a collection and a place around what fans might want to keep, wear, photograph and remember. Whether that translates into strong sales or long-term attention remains unreported.
