Heidi Klum is going for an extra spooktacular look this year.
The Queen of Halloween teased that her upcoming costume for her 2026 Halloween party will have a bit of extra gore to it—although she wasn’t revealing too much about the transformation.
“It’s very, very bloody,” Klum told People in an interview published Sept. 17. “That’s what Halloween is all about. We go gory, and we go there.”
The Project Runway host also confessed that her yearly costumes can be a bit tough on the skin, especially as she often has to prepare for pounds of prosthetics to be applied to her face.
“Everything needs to be removed,” she explained, “otherwise, the prosthetics don’t stay.”
And getting it on his only half the battle, as removing her costumes—which have included ET, a worm and Jessica Rabbit in recent years—can be equally challenging.
“It’s basically like nail polish remover on the face,” Klum said. “I’ve had chunks ripped off my chest before because they went too fast.”
Over the years the 53-year-old—mom Leni, 22, with ex FlavioBriatore, and Henry, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, with ex Seal— has made it her mission to go as hard as she can every Halloween, taking it to a new level in 2025 with her Medusa costume that featured robotic snakes on her head. And prepping for that costume took a whopping five months.
Husband Tom Kaulitz complimented her Medusa garb with his own costume of a warrior turned to stone, with the two noting their costumes took 10 hours to put on.
“I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time,” Klum added, “because I’ve seen over the years obviously many, many Medusas, and I thought, You know, one day I’m going to try my own…I really wanted to have snakes that were moving, a super-ugly, super-scary face, really ugly teeth, and to be like a really long rattlesnake.”
