«Toy Story 5» arrived in our cinemas just before the summer holidays, and now we already have the release date for the streaming world. Find out here when the toy fun starts on Disney+.
The toys surrounding Buzz Lightyear and cowgirl Jessie are actually in perfectly good hands with eight-year-old Bonnie. However, they are now being replaced, as the girl has brought an electronic pastime into the house in the shape of the «Lilypad», with which she prefers to spend her time. The toys therefore decide to find a real friend for their little girl, someone who prefers playing with real toys over electronic gadgets. For this task, they bring Cowboy Woody back into the nursery, but he has also seen better days.
Toy Story 5 has become a massive hit for Pixar and Disney with worldwide box office takings of over 1.1 billion dollars, bringing the familiar characters from the original Toy Story back into the public consciousness. It is no wonder, then, that they want to release this smash hit on their in-house streaming channel as soon as possible, so that fans can watch this new adventure over and over again. We are eager to see whether the story about the toys will enter new chapters and, above all, whether the iconic voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, or Joan Cusack will continue to be a part of this wonderful franchise. We certainly hope so.
