Organized by the local nonprofit Society of Utils, the event gave fans of all ages a chance to connect with others who share their interest.
The convention is named after Oliver “Hazard” Perry, the naval hero known for his victory at the Battle of Lake Erie.
“We have Bill Butts here this weekend, we have Charles Dunbar, who is a very highly educated panelist who has degrees in anthropology who was on a lot of panels regarding Japan,” said Joshua Palmquist, president of Hazard Con.
Hazard Con continues through Sunday, giving fans one more day to enjoy the festivities.
