Hayden Panettiere died at the age of 36, leaving fans and the entertainment industry mourning the loss of the beloved actress. Tributes have poured in for the Heroes star following her heartbreaking death. Hayden Panettiere was reportedly dealing with severe pain and mobility issues in the months before her death. Her longtime friend and hairdresser, Erick Orellana, revealed that her back pain had become so intense that she struggled to move her legs.

    Hayden Panettiere suffered severe pain

Her longtime hairdresser and friend, Erick Orellana, told Page Six that Panettiere was in “really severe” pain and that her condition started affecting her movement. He said, “It was even hard for her to move her legs. I know she suffered earlier this year with her back.”

A second her back pain. “Earlier this year, she did seem a little tired at times. But she was a night owl, and… she has a lot on her plate.” The insider claimed that Panettiere “suffered from anxiety at times” and would “occasionally take medication for that. And every so often that could impact her speech.”

    About Hayden’s death

Hayden’s father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed the heartbreaking news of her death in a statement on Sunday. “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen. We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss,” he said.

Details surrounding her death surfaced, with dispatch audio reportedly mentioning a possible overdose and cardiac arrest. According to TMZ, paramedics tried to revive Panettiere using emergency medical procedures, including medication, breathing support, and chest compressions, but she was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. Authorities were alerted after a friend of the Scream actress called 911.

Dispatch audio obtained by PEOPLE reportedly mentioned a possible overdose and cardiac arrest. However, police said there were no initial signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. The official cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.

Panettiere, who would have turned 37 on Friday, began her career as a child actor in commercials and soap operas. Her role as a cheerleader with superpowers in Heroes propelled her to fame in 2006.
