    Scared of repetition

Actor Vikrant Massey says the fear of creative repetition worries him more than failure of his movies, which is why he is constantly trying to reinvent himself in his movie roles. Vikrant said box office success is also important, but actors worry more about “redundancy” and “repetition”. “It’s not okay [if a film doesn’t work]. You want to make money and more people to watch it. However, in pre-sale, you recover your minimal cost. Of course, you want your film to do those numbers but what’s far scarier is redundancy as an actor, that you [are doing the] same thing,” the actor told PTI in an interview. On the work front, Vikrant will next be seen in Musafir Café.

    Living with bulimia

Actor Sana Saeed, known for her role in Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), said she had bulimia for years and has recovered from the eating disorder. Bulimia interferes with eating behaviours and is marked by uncontrolled episodes of overeating, followed by purging by vomiting or misuse of laxatives or water pills. Sana, who essayed the role of Anjali in Karan Johar’s directorial venture, in a recent Instagram video, opened up about living with bulimia nervosa, saying she believed “something was wrong” with her before eventually understanding her condition. Recently, Sana made her Hollywood debut in Welcome to Klyde’s Kitchen (2024).

    Back home and recuperating

After reportedly suffering an unknown insect bite on the sets of Fauzi (No safety, no work, July 9), Rajesh Sharma is back home in Mumbai and recovering after being discharged from hospital. Confirming the update, FWICE President BN Tiwari said, “Rajesh Sharmaji recently got discharged. He is currently recuperating at his residence in Mumbai.” Family friend Sudipa Chatterjee added that the actor is “much better” and undergoing tests.

    What bit Rajesh Sharma?
Initial reports claimed Rajesh Sharma was bitten by a venomous black spider while shooting at Ramoji Film City in Telangana. However, family friend Sudipa Chatterjee later clarified that doctors believed it was an unknown insect bite and were conducting tests to determine the exact cause. The makers of ‘Fauzi’, meanwhile, said they had no knowledge of any such on-set incident.
