Harry Styles has performed an unreleased song written in memory of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne during a concert at Madison Square Garden.
The singer played the track, titled “What Is Enough”, on the second anniversary of Payne’s death. Payne died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Addressing the audience during his “Together, Together” tour residency in New York, Styles paid tribute to his late colleague.
“There are so many people in my life, friends and people that I’ve worked with that I wouldn’t have been able to do this without,” Styles said. “And two years ago today, I lost one of those friends.”

Introducing the acoustic track, Styles encouraged the crowd to support one another through grief and hardship.
“I’m sure a lot of you have been through similar things,” he added. “Really, it’s just about looking after each other.”
Styles and Payne achieved global prominence alongside Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik in One Direction, formed on The X Factor in 2010. Following the group’s 2016 hiatus, Styles launched a successful solo <a href="https://comicvibe.com/josh-hartnett-remains-open-to-new-career-challenges/” title=”Josh Hartnett remains open to new career challenges”>career, earning multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for Harry’s House.
