With just months to go before the release of Rockstar Games’ most anticipated title this November, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have been hanging onto any and every tidbit they can find about the game.

After months of denying fans a third trailer after the second one released eons ago in May 2026, fans finally have something concrete to look forward to before November 19—a possible story or gameplay trailer.

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on @netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET.https://t.co/px5rI0eKh7pic.twitter.com/IDZO55jY6K

Rockstar Games announced on Thursday that the “extended look” at Grand Theft Auto VI drops on August 27 on both Netflix and YouTube.

While Netflix viewers get to stream it at 3 PM ET on August 27 (12:30 AM IST on August 28), those watching on YouTube and the Rockstar Games website will only get to watch it at 9 PM ET on August 27 (6:30 AM IST on August 28).

Netflix called its GTA 6collab “a first-of-its-kind partnership to premiere an extended look at the next evolution in the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series, Grand Theft Auto VI”.

This comes after the game’s price was announced last month, following which fans had been clamouring for a third trailer.

This led to speculations of the trailer dropping sometime this month, after popular gaming insider NatetheHate recently claimed on X that Rockstar Games could amp up its promotional content for the game in August.

I expect to see a fair bit of GTA6 next month.

    — NateTheHate2 (@NateTheHate2) July 29, 2026

“I expect to see a fair bit of GTA6 next month,” he had said, vaguely responding to a question about when a gameplay trailer could be released. However, the insider’s comment reveals nothing about whether the August 27 release could be a gameplay trailer or a regular trailer.

Set in Leonida, a fictional version of Florida, GTA 6 sees twin protagonists Jason and Lucia partner up and face the music when an easy heist goes terribly wrong.

Priced at $79.99 for the standard edition, which can be purchased as a digital or physical (which includes a code in a box, not a disc) copy, the “ultimate” version will cost $99.99. It will be released on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S.
