GTA 6 Leaker Returns With New 25

A leaker who likely stole a copy of Grand Theft Auto 6 has re-emerged with a new 25-minute clip featuring more in-game footage, suggesting Take-Two Interactive still isn’t close to catching the culprit, despite subpoenaing various companies for leak-related records.

CyberLeek has updated at least one of the sites he used to circulate earlier footage. The page now includes a download for “GTA 6: An Extended Leek,” a pun on the official Extended Look for the game, released on Aug. 27. In addition, CyberLeek posted a new poll, asking for donations to his meme coin on the Solana blockchain.

The new 25-minute clip is making waves because it appears to show you can play the main characters nude, although it’s unclear if this is a mod or hacked feature using the game’s developer menu. At one point, a tank is also spawned suddenly.

CyberLeek went quiet in late August after posting a video showing the prologue to GTA 6, which doesn’t officially launch until Nov. 19. There were also signs that CyberLeek had cashed out his meme coin, which saw its value plummet around the same time. One estimate puts CyberLeek’s earnings from the transaction fees for the coin alone at around $270,000.

But now CyberLeek has returned and is apparently asking for more donations. “CYBERLEEK HAS A PROJECT. NOT ROCKSTAR RELATED, GAMING RELATED. IT NEEDS EXPENSIVE HARDWARE. MONTHS TO SET UP. YEARS TO RUN. FULL-TIME. IF YOU CANNOT TRUST THE FIGURE, TRUST THE SKILLS,” the leaker posts at the end of the clip. His meme coin has since shot up by about 50%.

Take-Two Interactive didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. But the new leaks could threaten to spoil the story for GTA 6, one of the most anticipated video games in recent memory. On the flip side, the leaks could also drive interest. Preorders for PlayStation and Xbox are open now; no release date has been given for PC.

I’ve been a journalist for over 15 years. I got my start as a schools and cities reporter in Kansas City and joined PCMag in 2017, where I cover satellite internet services, cybersecurity, PC hardware, and more. I’m currently based in San Francisco, but previously spent over five years in China, covering the country’s technology sector.

Since 2020, I’ve covered the launch and explosive growth of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service, writing 600+ stories on availability and feature launches, but also the regulatory battles over the expansion of satellite constellations, fights with rival providers like AST SpaceMobile and Amazon, and the effort to expand into satellite-based mobile service. I’ve combed through FCC filings for the latest news and driven to remote corners of California to test Starlink’s cellular service.

I also cover cyber threats, from ransomware gangs to the emergence of AI-based malware. In 2024 and 2025, the FTC forced Avast to pay consumers $16.5 million for secretly harvesting and selling their personal information to third-party clients, as revealed in my joint investigation with Motherboard.

I also cover the PC graphics card market. Pandemic-era shortages led me to camp out in front of a Best Buy to get an RTX 3000. I’m now following how the AI-driven memory shortage is impacting the entire consumer electronics market. I’m always eager to learn more, so please jump in the comments with feedback and send me tips.
