It appears that Ubisoft could soon release a Ghost Recon: Wildlands Definitive Edition that includes new content.
The news first appeared on the subreddit and has since circulated online by various other users.
Ghost Recon Wildlands Definitive Edition
According to the image, the Ghost Recon Wildlands Definitive Edition is set to include a new mission and also include a 60FPS 4K update.
Ghost Recon Wildlands first released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, so the Definitive Edition is due for a current-generation upgrade on the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.
Ghost Recon Wildlands will be the latest game from Ubisoft to receive the ‘update treatment’ as the publisher tries to find low-hanging fruit with releases, as its pipeline of new game releases has suffered in recent years. The next mainline Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, and Ghost Recon have all seen massive internal setbacks.

Another game in Ubisoft’s portfolio which is set to get the ‘upgrade treatment’ is Watch Dogs Legion, which Insider Gaming understands is scheduled to launch later this year and has recently finished filming new content and missions. Multiple other Ubisoft games are also in development and set to get similar treatment.
At the time of writing, Ubisoft has yet to officially announce that a definitive edition for Ghost Recon Wildlands is in development.
