The film has been streaming on Netflix since August 8

During the first week of the theatrical run, attendees will receive a CD containing the theme song “Reborn.” The CD jacket features a newly drawn illustration by original character designer Kei Mochizuki.

The theme song is performed by Girls Archives., a new unit from Japan and South Korea that has both real and virtual identities. The group made its pre debut with “Reborn” and is attracting attention as a new music act.

Princess Knight is a fantasy story about Princess Sapphire, who possesses both a boy’s heart and a girl’s heart and fights as the Ribbon Knight.

The original manga was first serialized in the manga magazine Shojo Club in 1953 and was later published in Nakayoshi and Shojo Friend. A television anime adaptation aired from 1967 to 1968.

In 1999, an original short anime was screened at Tezuka Osamu World, which closed in 2011. THE RIBBON HERO is the first anime based on Princess Knight in 27 years, following that original short animation.

Animation production is handled by OUTLINE, led by director Yuki Igarashi. The protagonist Sapphire is voiced by Saya of the comedy duo LALANDE.
