Galaxy Z Fold 8 buyers in Japan get free coins to spend on manga comic books
The best phone for comic book and graphic novel fans?
The Galaxy Z Fold 8’s unique passport-style design lends itself to reading ebooks, and Samsung knows this all too well. To capitalize on it, the company has launched a promotional campaign in Japan, pairing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with the digital manga and webtoon distribution platform LINE Manga.
Unfortunately, the promotional offer is available only in Japan, but at the very least, it demonstrates Samsung’s willingness to capitalize on the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s unique design and strengths in creative ways.
Free coins to spend on comics and graphic novels
Through this campaign, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra buyers in Japan will receive a bonus code worth up to 2,000 yen (~$13) in manga coins.
The campaign started today, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/prehistoric-farm-codes-october-2026/” title=”Prehistoric Farm codes October 2026″>October 15, and lasts through February 28, 2027. Samsung will send LINE Manga promo codes to eligible Galaxy Z Fold 8/8 Ultra buyers by March 14, 2027. The codes have a one-year expiration date and will no longer be valid after October 15, 2027.

The LINE Manga platform is available only in Japan, so, sadly, even if Samsung wanted to launch a similar offer in other markets, it couldn’t do so without another partner.
Thankfully, there are plenty of other ways, including Google Play, to acquire comics and ebooks if you want to spend more time reading on your Galaxy Z Fold 8.
As to which Fold is superior, both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra unfold horizontally. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is arguably better suited for the task thanks to its 4:3 foldable panel with proportions very similar to a small book.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 series has performed surprisingly well in Japan following its August debut, giving Samsung a real shot at competing with Apple locally. The Fold 8 quickly sold out on Samsung’s online shop, but it’s back in stock and is now cheaper thanks to a limited-time 13,495 yen (~$85) discount.
