Funko Teases ‘Absolute Batman,’ Joker, and Brainiac Vinyl Figures at Comic-Con

Funko gave DC fans their first official look at its upcoming Absolute line during San Diego Comic-Con, unveiling Pop! figures inspired by the blockbuster comic universe.
The initial wave includes Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Joker, and the nightmarish Absolute Brainiac, offering collectors their first glimpse at how these radically reimagined characters will translate into vinyl form.
Curiously absent from the reveal was Absolute Wonder Woman, despite her popularity and the fact that an SDCC-exclusive Absolute Trinity set featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman was sold at the convention. That limited-edition three-pack has already become one of Comic-Con’s hottest collectibles, with sealed sets selling for thousands of dollars on eBay.

- Absolute Brainiac
As expected, Absolute Batman features his oversized chest emblem, a bold redesign that has quickly become one of the character’s most recognizable visual updates in years.
One surprise is that Funko opted for the monstrous Absolute Jokerrather than his more human appearance. The figure faithfully recreates the horrifying creature design from the comics, complete with its exaggerated grin, elongated tongue, and unnerving, almost Venom-like physique.
Absolute Superman rounds out the heroic side of the lineup, while Absolute Brainiac may be the wave’s standout collectible. If you haven’t read Absolute Superman yet, it’s well worth checking out, particularly for its chilling reinvention of Brainiac.
This version abandons the cold, calculating artificial intelligence fans know and embraces full-on body horror, transforming Brainiac into something invasive, organic, and deeply disturbing.
